The color:
These colors simulate the sky of the moment when the atomic bomb exploded above the victims at 600m in the air of Hiroshima. It is estimated that the temperature on the ground during the explosion was like as if the sun came down to earth. Victims testified that the sky had become incredibly colorful and how unexpectedly beautiful it was, although almost everything on the ground within 2km was destroyed and contaminated by the invisible radiation.
Because the moment of this incident is beyond the capacity of our imagination, it motivates idea of imagination itself which stays unknown and invisible. Thus in the case of the atomic bomb, it is recognized as fear. The installation is to resist this psychological fear, and indicate the existence of imagination.
